There are many ways to volunteer. As our charter states, each parent is required 30 hours of volunteer time. You may also buy hours for $10 per hour. If you are planning to donate money, please contact me directly. I have made purchases for the classroom and kept my receipts. I will give those to you when I am reimbursed.
Volunteers Needed
Running Records - time and record errors of students as they read one-minute passages. Mornings from 7:45-8:15
Book Inventory - anytime until mission is complete ;)
Book Covering - cover books with contact paper to protect them ( I can send this home)
Math Super Stars - Parent will grade enrichment worksheet weekly of those students who complete the assignment. An answer key is provided. They will buy small prizes for participants and larger prizes for the top three scorers (keep you receipts for this and turn them in for every $10 you spend). Last, they will send in the scored sheets along with prizes :)
Copies - I will need copies made...Just let me know ahead of time so I can prepare the paper.
Working with students - There will be times when students need a little more one-on-one time. Mornings would be best unless we are doing a special activity.
