Nonfiction Challenge 1/11-1/18

Choose a site that interests you from the list below.  Choose an article to read.  BUT... Read the posts first.

    3. I learned that water from the facet is safe. I learned that only 1 plastic bottle is recycled out of every six that are used. I learned recycling one plastic bottle can save enough energy to power a 60-watt light bulb for 6 hours.
    4. This article relates to the me because I can make a difference by recycling water bottles.

    3. I learned that Alabama scored 69 points against its title game opponents. I learned the coach for Alabama used to be the coach for the Miami Dolphins. I didn't know Notre Dame didn't score until the third quarter.
    4. I always watch the BCS Championship each year but this one was a snoozefest.

    3.i learned that The film stars the characters from a fictional 1980s arcade game called Fix It Felix, Jr. another thing i learned is that Felix is the ultimate good guy. And he loves his job and he loves fixing things that Ralph wrecksand ilearned thatnfrastructure is a community's basic structures and facilities, such as roads, bridges and water and power supplies.

  5. 1.Nationalgeographic.com 2.Honeybee Mystery 3.I learned that wind pollinates oats, corn, and wheat.I learned that apple, melon, and cherry trees depend on insect's, bat's and birds.i did not know that bee's live in groups of about 40,000 individuals {called colonies.

    3. I learned the bugs are important that they dont die off so that the birds have still can have their meals. We need to preserve them and give them food to eat. Its important for us to plant native plants.

    3.According to the International Astronomical Union, a full-fledged planet is an object that orbits the sun and is large enough to have become round due to the force of its own gravity. Because Pluto doesn't meet these standards, the IAU classifies Pluto as a dwarf planet. Scientist argue about the reclassification of planets.
    4.the article connects to me because I don't want Pluto to be a planet I want it to remain a big ball of gas.

    3.) Dolphins can communicate by clapping their jaws. They team up in pods which are groups to complete tasks together. Their are more than 30 different kinds of dolphins that swim in the world's oceans and rivers.
    4.) I swam with dolphins at the Miami Seaquarium. It was so much fun.

  16. 1. You head outside after a snowstorm and see dozens of log- or drum-shaped snowballs. These rare creations are called snow rollers, and Mother Nature makes them all by herself
    2. Scientists aren't sure what causes these waves, but they do know they can appear without any warning in the open sea, even in the clearest of weather

    3.i learned that a cat can nurse a dog. The cat related to the dog as her own babykitten. she accepted him to be in her family ,even though he was a dog.Usually in nature cats and dogs dont get along but incase of emergencies cats and dogs might help eachother.

    3.Polar bears live in the Arctic and hunt seals and other fatty marine mammals from sea ice. They also travel, mate, and sometimes give birth on the ice. But sea ice is melting as the planet warms, and it is predicted to continue to do so for several more decades.

    3.the fastest time a dog can pop 100 balloons is in 53.7 seconds.Dogs usually pop ballons with thier teeth but for the record they pop them on the ground.Balloons dont last very long
